My Review - VTech LS6425-3
By Buyer99
At first I was kind of hesitant buying this, but after comparing prices to some other sets, this one just seemed to do the trick....
Loaded with features! Excellent phone system!
Call quality is 4/5. It isn't perfect, but still very good. Of course, the closer to the base, the better the audio will be. Really, no complaints here, as the quality is more than sufficient.
Each phone acts as a walkie-talkie (you can select a specific zone or all zones to initiate radio contact)
Good for if you want to talk to someone in a the living room from bedroom, or if you're out in the backyard cooking.
Just press the little button on the side of the phone, and select a zone, and talk away!
Audible caller ID - hear who's calling you before you pick up the phone...
*Caller ID from your phone service required
Easily store names and numbers of your contacts. Also, easily speak to them.
Each phone displays the number of voicemail messages.
You can listen to your voicemail on ANY phone! It automatically switches to speaker when you do this.
Just press Select 2x and it begins playing the voicemails.
You can also manage the voicemails from any phone.
Each phone as a speaker button, and the phones have a very good volume range, on both the earpiece and speaker.
Also, each phone has a mute button, so you can prevent the other person on the line from hearing you talk.
Multiple ringer options.
Date and Time displayed in each handset. Also battery life indicator.
The voicemail base lights up a red text showing you how many new voicemails.
As I said, each handset also displays this number on the screen.
The base offers easy managing of voicemails.
Super easy to set up. Just plug it in, and you're set. You can also give each phone a name, so you know where they go to.
For instance, Bedroom, Kitchen, Living Room.
This comes in handy when using the walkie talkie feature, so you know which zone you're trying to talk to.
The phones light up neon blue. Very sleek, modern styling.
Conclusion:
For the price, you will be extremely satisfied with this purchase! This is the best home phone system I've ever had, bar none. If you're considering a system, I highly recommend buying this.

The LS6425 series phones have a lot to offer, but HD Audio is misleading
By Darkev
I use this phone around my home. I love the talking caller id feature. The phones are lightweight and I find the buttons are big and clearly marked. The system uses energy saving technology.
I had a cheap cordless phone that worked, but friends would sometimes complain about the sound quality. I went hunting for a new phone with my number one priority being the sound quality. I chose this phone because of the advertising of HD Audio. What is HD Audio? My take is that VTech is using HD to mean superior sound, because high definition does mean high quality resolution for video and it should mean robust sound for audio if it's going to be used. After using the phone a few times, I find the sound is tinny, and at high volume (levels close to max) it distorts both when using the speakerphone or normal phone. I'm not very impressed with the sound quality on this new model phone by VTech. Even adjusting the sound using the built-in equalizer doesn't help much. Sound to the caller is very good. I called my voicemail system and left a long message to myself using both the speakerphone and the regular non-speakerphone. I played the message back using a corded phone, and the sound quality was fine. It's the speakers inside these phones that appear to be lacking quality, not the mics.
For the price I think it's an ok phone. It's definitely not the best cordless phone out there. If the sound quality was better I'd say it was the best cordless phone system out there.

Amazing Bang For Your Buck - Sensational Phone System!
By Peter Suslock
As a long time Panasonic fan, I've stuck with their phones for decades.I had tried a Vtech in the past but that was many years ago. I found the phone sub par on virtually every level, returned it within a few days - and went back to a Panasonic.Three years ago, I bought a 6.0 multi handset Panasonic for $179 but after the first year began to experience, static, poor voice quality and problems related to the distance from the main base which included dropped calls.
Batteries were replaced, our lines checked out fine but the problems continued. After reading many positive reviews on this model, I gave it a shot and am sure glad I did. First off, the design of phone is stunning - it's elegant, modern and sleek. Add to that exceptional build quality and equally exceptional performance - and you have a winner.
There's A LOT of bang for your buck here:
* Superb call/voice quality that's crystal clear, all the time - every time.
* Great range. Great quality even a good 3/4 acre from the base.
* Voice announce or silent Caller ID.
* Intercom.
* Fully customizable, sound, volume, outgoing message, Ring tones - and more.
* Silent or custom ring tone transfer of incoming calls to voice mailbox.
* Excellent quality Speaker Phone.
* Thoughtfully designed handsets. Good weight, large back lit keys.
* Large bright LED screen on each handset.
* Built in mini equalizer in each handset.
* Built in phone finder in each handset.
* Superb HD sound quality ( sounds like the other person is right next to you)
* Expandable system for additional handsets should you need them.
The light blue back light, complements the silver and black of the system - for a terrific look that's upscale and very high end.
Set up is a breeze.Included is a quick start guide and users manual. As someone who detests user manuals I have to give kudos to Vtech here as well. The manual is well written and easy to follow. An excellent index will take you right to the issue or function you need to learn about or address.
If there's one con here, it's that the charging bases could be heavier. But this is minor compared to the benefits, bells and whistles you get for your money. Not that long ago a three handset phone with half of these features ran into hundreds of dollars - and some still do. For $59? it's a no brainer. Most anyone is just bound to love this phone system
