Have been using it less than a week.
Easy to set up and use. Best part: when it's powered on or off, it doesn't waste grams of ink sorting itself out.
It replaced a four-year-old Canon Pixma, which devoured ink.

Faster, uses less ink and the ink is cheaper. The prints on MY HP were fine but every time you printed it cleaned the heads, took forever and wasted ink. The Brother printer starts printing almost instantly and looks just as good.

I have always used HP printers in the past and never had an issue (HP Photosmart 8250 for 7 years), this one was purchased as a gift for my father who only needed the copy/scanner function. Also since he does not know how to use a PC, i needed a printer that can be a stand-alone without needing a pc to set up. As many of the new Printers go , the stand-alone feature no longer exists and requires a pc setup. This printer came straight out of the box to the desk and is now used as a copier w/o needing a PC. You can also use 3rd party inks w/o triggering cartridge errors as other make do.
