interferes with signal

The case fit over my iphone 5 perfectly and looks great but it interferes with signal reception. The LTE signal I usually get outside my work is blocked when the case is on but fine without the case or with my old silicon only case. It causes more dropped calls too.

To me the tiny hole for the headphone jack is a deal breaker

I agree that this is a solidly made case. $24 for a single piece of plastic - it had better be. I've yet to drop it, so I can't speak for its effectiveness when that happens; it's probably pretty good. However, NONE of my mini headphone jacks fit through the tiny hole provided. This means that every time I want to listen to music, I have to open the case to get access. This means jogging with the case only have on. Kind of defeats the purpose, right? I truly wish I'd discovered this earlier and returned it when I had the chance.

Buttons have no tactile feedback, No customer support

I decided to try out this case instead of Otterbox.

Problems with the case:

Requires separate screen protector. The one they ship on their website is horrible and doesn't stay on the phone.

No protection of the apple logo on the back.

After you drop Otterbox it's still looks nice, this one is scratched, "metal/plastic" doesn't stick well to the case anymore - bottom line it's ready for the garbage.

No tactile feedback on the power, volume buttons (comparing to nice feel you get from otterbox).

and on my account the worst part - NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!!

The item was purchased on their website - after that i tried contacting them twice with no response.

Save your time, money and the phone - go for what worked for you before.

Great Waterproof Point and Shoot

I have only used this camera underwater once so far, but it was absolutely fantastic. I took it to the swimming pool with my daughter and niece as a test run, and got some great shots of my niece swimming underwater, and alternated with underwater shots and above the water shots. The camera is made to slough off the water as soon as you pull it out, so the pictures out of the water don't have spots or water drops on them. It seems like a minor thing, but it really made a huge difference. As for being waterproof, it seemed to hold up great. After we got home, I noticed it had some chlorine spots on a couple pictures (after I tried to use a dry cleaning cloth on it) so I soaked it in a sink full of clean water for about 5 minutes, and voila! Perfect photos again. I've seen some reviews that say this camera doesn't work well inside, haven't noticed a problem myself. Pretty much every single picture I've taken with the camera has turned out with great color balance and good lighting. I have had a couple overexpose a bit with the flash, but hey, this is a point and shoot camera, not a professional grade camera. The overexposure can be fixed on the camera itself with the offered image editing or with editing software on your computer.

We'll be taking the camera on a trip to the lake in a week, so we'll see how it holds up with the sand and murky water, but so far I am more than pleased with this little camera, especially for the price! Can't wait to take it out and play with it some more.

EDIT: Used this camera on a trip in pools, lakes, and rivers. Had a blast. Got some great shots in the water, above the water, canoeing, kayaking, and even in a water feature fountain thing for the kids to play in, all with no worries about water leakage. I do recommend purchasing a floating wrist strap because the camera itself doesn't float if you drop it in deep water. Even in the lake and river the pictures came out great, though you need to be close to your subject in dirtier/murkier water. After a month and a couple weeks, I'd say it's already earned its keep for the price I paid. I think we took somewhere around 1600 photos on a two week trip with this little camera, and 99% of them were fantastic. I also bought an extra extended life battery, and with constant shooting, I did need to change the batteries about once a day. But, I take a LOT of photos.

EDIT2: After reading some of the other reviews here, I think something needs to be said - this is NOT an expensive, professional level camera. It isn't being sold as one, because it's not. No, you are not going to get perfect pictures every single time. You're not going to get perfectly clear-as-day underwater photos (although you will get some awesome ones). This is a point-and-shoot camera that you can take in the water with you. If you expect more than point-and-shoot quality, you should not buy this camera. But understand you will spend more money on something else. For the average user, it is an absolutely fantastic camera for the price. You can take it anywhere, it fits in your POCKET (how nice is that?) and it will stand up to being dropped, getting wet, getting cold, etc. Take it on your family vacation without worrying about it. Now try to do that with a $3000 professional camera. Also, for people saying the quality sucks, I have blown up some of the photos from this camera to 16x20 prints and hung them on the wall. I certainly can't tell they were taken with a $140 camera, and neither can anyone else.

Don't know much about cameras but I like this one...

UPDATE 2: Just noticed another issue. The flash sometimes causes a bit of reflection the color of my finger along the right side of the imate, evidently becuase my fingers are too close (to the flash). This isn't an issue, I just move my fingers a bit. Good thing I preview work-pictures, though. I can't tell you how much I am appreciating the water and dust-proofing in this SE Florida monsoon season! No change in the rating.

UPDATE 1: Since purchasing I've used this quite a bit for work and personal photos. I still love the camera - I've been able to take pics in rain, around water and with a 4 year old hanging all over me without worrying about dust, water or dropping it. However, there are a couple of issues I haven't seen in other reviews: (1) the lens is easily "dirtied" by a finger print when you take this out of your pocket (no cover), and (2) I have to be more careful about taking photos in the direction of the sun or I sometimes get a big glare-streak... don't know why my other cameras didn't have this problem but it sometimes requires two hands (one to block the sun). These issues have not changed my rating.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Lots of camera-geek analysis here, and from what I read Panasonic meets my criteria - fast cycle after shooting, wide angle, durable and mainstream ("reliable") manufacturer. I mostly take photos for work, and any modern camera is satisfactory for family use.

This has a wider angle than my Canon PowerShot, which I am replacing, and no moving parts. I can shoot in the rain and carry it in my shirt pocket, neither of which are feasible with the Canon. The unit is "closed" so that I won't get construction dust or lint inside the lenses, which is why I need to replace my Canon.

Other than that, it's just a nice camera that I can get wet or drop, with all the usual bells and whistles (90% of which I'll never use). The price:value ratio is very good for my needs.

Works Well.

I took this camera to Mexico with us on vacation. The camera worked well and took some good pictures in and out of the water, as long as you used the normal optical zoom. My only complaint would be that the Intelligent zoom does not work very well, it's a bit grainy, especially in low light and under water. Saying that it has an 8X zoom is a bit misleading, since it is not a true optical zoom. Had no problems with leakage and we snorkeled for a couple of hours. My husband has an older model that has manual modes and a lot more picture options. Next time I would go with a higher end model to have those options. This camera is very small which can make it a bit hard to hold on to and the movie mode button is so small it is hard to push, especially if you had larger fingers. All in all I like the camera, but some small changes could make it much better.

awesome design and functionality for iphone 5c

Spigen is such a quality company for iphone accessories. This case for the iphone 5c is high quality, lite in weight and sturdy in build. A great combo. It costs more than a ten buck case or a clearance item from griffin, belkin, or any of the other popular case companies but you get what you pay for. I have tried and returned 3 other cases from well known, high quality companies that turned out to be sub par or disappointing for this phone I have had for only 2 weeks! This sSpigen case is the one I am sticking with (that and the one Apple made as a back up option) The phone slips in the case very easily if you start working it in at the top where the buttons are and it fits nice and tight once all the way in at the bottom (you put the phone in the case whole according to the Spigen website even though the case has 2 parts/layers).
The metal slate color I chose is a nice midnight blue color just as it looked online. Its all made of plastic but like the iphone 5c it is unapologeticlly plastic lol...good strong feel but lite in weight. The ridges around the screen do not interfere with the Spigen Clear screen protector on my phone (see my other ereview of this dry application screen protector...five stars)and raises the screen enough off of flat surfaces to lay down ok without fear of scratching. Also the lip around the back camera and flash is also quite substantial and protects the camera and flash from contact with a surface the phone is placed on. All in all a well rounded case that does not add a lot of bulk to the phone but keeps it nice and safe. Great buy worth the 24.99 --- which is a less expensive price than going to the Spigen website directly!

Unapologetically Rugged and Sleek!

Instead of going over to the popular Otterbox for my first iPhone ever, I did some research and found Spigen. The constant five-star review and the aesthetic beauty of the case instantly hooked me in.
I wanted this case right away! So I ordered it in white!

The case was delivered to me on schedule in a nice grey packaging from Amazon. I took the packaging off and was greeted by - not only a very well done packaging by Spigen but also - an incredible presentation of the case itself. I got right to taking off the packaging to get to the case and once I got it out, I cleaned my iPhone 5C and put it in the case.

Right away, I was completely mesmerized by how perfectly it fit! It's been two weeks and I haven't stopped admiring this case! I love it so much! So much in fact that I had to come back and submit photos and write reviews about this beautiful case. It deserves every 5-star rating that it got.

Everything about the case is incredible. From holding it, you know they paid very close attention to the phone and to the needs of the user. From the style of it to the functionality, everything is perfect:
-The bezel on the perimeter creates an image of a deceptively thin case when you hold it at certain angles
-The bezel also makes it pleasing to hold the case
-The fact that it is made of two materials but always remains as one is incredible
-The buttons are enticing and just make you want to press them all day
-The screen protection from the case's lips is not too thin nor tall
-The case fits on the phone as if it were an extra small-sized latex glove on the hands of a giant. Which is to say it FITS PRETTY DAMN WELL

My only wish (but really it's just personal preference) is that Spigen had made the little circle cut-out for the Apple logo, but other than that, this case is perhaps the best for the job!

TL;DR Don't get this case because you will regret how much you will fall in love with it.

Good solid case - Vibrant Color

I love this case! It fits the iPhone 5C perfectly, the buttons are usable, connection points easy to acces. It is a good case at a decent price. I compared this case to many others and decided on it for the following reasons:

- a more expensive case is available (Otterbox), but there are many similarities in construction. It depends on the level of protection you want and need. If you need something water-proof, dust-proof, shock resistant from 100 feet - find another case
- no bad reviews on delivery. a highly rated case on Amazon had a terrible track record for delivery and customer service
- everything else is new too. The 5C is new, so are all of the cases flooding the market.
- it needed to fit in pocket and not be to cumbersome. it's not, it keeps the small size and shape and is not bulky (Otterbox).

You will need to add a screen protector, but again it depends on what you need.
