It took a surprising amount of time trying to locate the correct OEM battery for my wife's T-Mo Samsung Galaxy S without paying full retail or getting a counterfeit/knock-off. I was a little uncomfortable with the reviews on this one, but as it turned out it looks identical to the OEM battery that came with her phone, and, after a week of use, works great. The battery arrived very quickly via First Class Mail. Two thumbs up!

Some dead giveaways to fake OEM batteries: peel back the label and see if there is an inscription on the cell of where the product was manufactured, if not, it's fake. Also, look at the color of the underside of the label, Samsung's has a graphite colored finish, counterfeits have silver. Take the label completely off and you might find a strange black plastic insert on the backside of the cell. What's this? It's an insert used on counterfeits to make the battery seem larger than it really is. At first, this battery will be just fine. Give it a month or two of use, and it will begin to swell and die out. All of the negative reviews seem to be from users that have used this battery for longer than a month. Buyer beware. Spending the full retail price for an OEM is really the only way to guarantee you're getting the real thing. I purchased mine from Prime and got a fake. Amazon refunded my order.

Exactly what I expected. So glad to have extra battery. Needed battery mine wouldn't hold a charge any longer.
