After some real-world testing, I can heartily recommend this case

Just today I dropped my phone. The brunt of the initial impact was absorbed by my foot, but in one of those freak accidents, I kicked it, watched it slide on its face across concrete and flip several times.

That millimeter worth of space on the front is just enough to protect it. The case was scratched, but the phone is completely unscathed.

That's all I pretty much want in a case.

Excellent case -- Actually improves phone rather than just protecting it.

So, the SG5 is a pretty ugly phone. It also feels pretty cheap. But it's also a hell of a phone.

I am not normally a case fan, but I already installed Spigen's tempered glass screen protector (fantastic product, by the way -- have used them on numerous iPhones and other phones in the past) so I figured it made sense to invest in a case.

I wasn't expecting anything special since most cases you buy hoping that they don't look and feel like crap. Funny thing here, though, is that I feel like the case actually improved the overall feel and quality of the phone. It added just enough weight to the device to make it feel less like a toy. It added just enough strength to the device to make it feel like it could withstand anything.

And, frankly, I think it actually improved the look of the phone as well. I went with the blue dot case (white phone) and it at least covers up the hideous fake chrome plastic trim that nearly ruins the look of the SG5.

Overall, Spigen makes a quality product. I've used their cases and screen covers many times in the past and don't really see the need to ever go with another company. Very pleased (in fact, I purchased a mint cover as well to keep around as a back-up).
