Best screen I have installed so far

I have been replacing screens for iPhones as a side business since the 1st gen iPhone back in 2007. This has been the most OEM like screen I have ever installed, especially for the iPhone 4. The glass is silky smooth and feels like it has the oleophobic coating just like the OEM's (it doesn't, but feels like it, and oil wipes off a little easier than one that doesn't). The display is bright, the proximity sensor works better than the original (it actually works). Overall I'm very glad that I got this screen for myself when my screen shattered after a rough fall while snowboarding. I'll absolutely recommend that any customers I have that want to replace their screens go with this one, even if they had a black iPhone.

Too many defects

This is the 5th LCD replacement I buy and install. Having a house full of teenagers, the LCDs are a big commodity in my household.
This is the worst quality LCD I received so far. There is a white stripe at the top of the LCD, A finger like stain in the middle of the screen and a couple of dead pixels.
I'm not expecting Apple quality on these replacement models but I expect them to at least be defect free.

Quality product that installed easily *Ordered from seller EPC USA*

NOTE: I purchased this from Amazon seller "EPC USA". I cannot vouch for other sellers offering this product.

This screen came with a set of tools, most of which were useful. The screwdriver began stripping toward the end of the installation, but lasted for the entire installation.

I installed this screen in about 20 minutes using a youtube instructional video. Be very careful with the connectors. The screen has two flat connectors, which must be carefully aligned and pressed onto the phone connector very firmly. If the connector is even slightly loose, the screen or sensor may not work properly, and you will have to disassemble the phone again.

The screen picture quality is very good... only a very small difference in color reproduction from the original screen. Sharpness (regarding the iphone4) is the same.

Touchscreen performance is just as good as the original screen.

I did notice that the replacement is not as fingerprint-resistant as the original screen (not a major problem).

I had to replace the screen twice, both times using this product. The first replacement screen cracked upon dropping..... and the replacement glass does not appear to be as durable as the original iphone glass.

The screen does seem to be very slightly thicker. The Home button is slightly more recessed in this screen than it was in the original screen. For this, the lower durability, and the lack of fingerprint resistance - I give this 4 stars instead of 5.

Overall, this is a quality product and a much better DIY alternative to paying $100+ for a replacement screen, or $300+ for a replacement phone.
